Sweet and Salty Jeera Almonds

Can’t seem to resist those Jeera butter biscuits during tea time? We’ve got a superfood alternative for you and it’s the easiest to make!

INGREDIENT QUANTITY GLYCEMIC INDEX LEVEL
Almonds 250g <20 Very Low
Butter 20g, melted 0 Nil
Cumin Seeds (Jeera) 3 Tbsp., roasted <10 Negligible
Peppercorns 5-6 0 Nil
Stevia ½ Tsp. 0 Nil
Salt (mix of pink and regular salt 1:1) 1½ Tsp. or to taste 0 Nil

Note: All ingredients used should be organic, free from pesticides and Non-GMO.

Method:

  • Rub melted butter onto the almonds and bake at 100 degrees Celsius for 30 min.
  • In a blender powder the roasted jeera, salt & stevia.
  • When the almond is crunchy and oven roasted sprinkle the prepared powder over it and toss till coated well.
  • Can be stored in an airtight container but must eat it when freshly made. Enjoy!
