Sweet and Nutty Apple Crumble

Apple Mix
Apples 3 in number <40 Low
Cinnamon 1 Tsp. <10 Negligible
Nutmeg 1/8 Tsp. <10 Negligible
Ginger 1/8 Tsp. <10 Negligible
Ghee or Coconut Oil 3 Tbsp 0 Nil
Walnuts ½ Cup <20 Very Low
Almond or Coconut Flour 6 Tbsp. <20 Very Low
Coconut Sugar Syrup 2 Tbsp in 2 Tbsp water 35 Low
Stevia (optional) As per taste 0 Nil
Coconut Flakes or Dessicated Coconut (unsweetened) 4 Tbsp. <40 Low
Vanilla Extract ½ Tsp.
Cinnamon 1 Tsp. <10 Negligible
Nutmeg ¼ Tsp. <10 Negligible
Ginger 1/8 Tsp. <10 Negligible
Allspice 1/8 Tsp. <10 Negligible
Sea Salt A Dash 0 Nil

Note: All ingredients used should be organic, free from pesticides and Non-GMO.


  • Preheat the oven to 190 degrees Celsius.
  • Peel, core and slice the apples to desired thickness.
  • In a bowl toss the apples with the apple mix and place on a baking dish.
  • For the crumble, mix all the ingredients in the food processor and pulse until combined thoroughly. Once the nuts are finely ground and a paste is formed, stop blending.
  • Add the topping and spread evenly and fully over the apples in the baking dish. Bake the apple crumble for 50 minutes or until the topping is turning brown.
  • Once done, let it sit for half an hour to cool down till it becomes warm to serve.
