Fish Masala

INGREDIENT QUANTITY GLYCEMIC INDEX LEVEL
Surmai Fish 4 thick pieces; washed and marinated for 2 hours in salt 0 Nil
Masala Mix
Kashmiri Chili Powder 3 Tbsp. <20 Very Low
Coriander and Cumin Powder 4 Tbsp. <10 Negligible
Turmeric Powder 1 Tbsp. <10 Negligible
Salt (mix of pink and regular salt 1:1) To taste 0 Nil
Olive Oil (any non filtered oil) 8 Tbsp. to fry 0 Nil

Note: All ingredients used should be organic, free from pesticides and Non-GMO.

Method:

  • Rinse the marinated fish in cold water and dry it completely with a kitchen towel.
  • Mix all the Masala Mix powders together.
  • Coat the fish with the masala mix and keep it overnight to give you the best taste.
  • Fry the fish pieces in oil and serve hot with lime wedges. Enjoy!
